TBC Classic Holy Priest Guide

Introduction

Holy Priests are versatile healers that can specialize in either raid-wide healing or single target. They can also bring powerful utility in the form of
    Improved Divine Spirit
    .

TBC Holy Priest Rotation

One of the unique things about healing is downranking heals. We mention some specific ranks of certain heals below as a starting point, but finding out which ranks work best will be up to you. The ranks you choose will change based on each boss depending on the situation and length of the encounter, as well your target and how much health they are missing.

Single Target

  1. Maintain
    Renew
    .
  2. Cast
    Greater Heal R2
. This is your spam heal.
  3. Cast
    Power Word: Shield
    and
    Prayer of Mending
    on the move.
  4. Cast
    Greater Heal R7
for huge heals, best combined with
    Inner Focus
    when off cooldown.
  5. Cast
    Shadowfiend
to help your mana regen. Be aware of boss mechanics as it can die easily.
  6. Cast
    Prayer of Mending
on tanks to help them generate threat as the threat is granted to whoever it heals.
  7. Cast
    Flash Heal
if you need to heal someone faster than a
    Greater Heal
    cast (2.5 sec).

    Prayer of Healing
    , best combined with
    Inner Focus
when off cooldown. Only heals your party.

  4. Cast

TBC Holy Priest Aldor or Scryer

We recommend going Aldor as a Holy Priest in TBC Classic. The Aldor shoulder enchant,
    Greater Inscription of Faith
, is considerably stronger than the Scryer
    Greater Inscription of the Oracle
. Scryer does provide an early weapon, the
    Seer's Cane
, but it falls behind in the long run.
