Enhancement Shaman PvE Guide - TBC Classic

Introduction

Every raid will want at least one Enhancement Shaman because of the utility provided by
    Unleashed Rage
and their improved melee totems. Totem Twisting (details below) will be essential to making the most out of your supportive role.

TBC Classic Enhancement Shaman Rotation

Single Target

  1. Maintain
    Water Shield
    .
  2. Use
    Windfury Weapon
    on both of your weapons.
  3. Maintain
    Strength of Earth Totem
    ,
    Mana Spring Totem
    , and
    Searing Totem
    .
  4. If using the Totem Twisting Build, maintain
    Windfury Totem
    and
    Grace of Air Totem
    (details below). Otherwise, just mantain
    Grace of Air Totem
    .
  5. Cast
    Fire Elemental Totem
    before
    Bloodlust
    is used.
  6. Sync your weapon attacks (details below).
  7. Cast
    Shamanistic Rage
as many times as possible throughout an encounter without capping on mana when used.
  8. Cast
    Stormstrike
    .
  9. Cast
    Flame Shock
    or
    Earth Shock
. If the target has the
    Flame Shock
    DoT, prioritize
    Earth Shock
. This means for the Standard Build you will cast 1
    Flame Shock
    followed by 2
    Earth Shock
    because of
    Reverberation
. For the Totem Twisting Build, you will cast 1
    Flame Shock
    followed by 1
    Earth Shock
    .
  10. If using the Standard Build, cast
    Fire Nova Totem
    . After it activates, recast
    Searing Totem
    .

AoE

  1. Use
    Fire Nova Totem
    .
  2. Use
    Magma Totem
    after
    Fire Nova Totem
    explodes.
  3. Maintain
    Flame Shock
    on 2 targets.
  4. Perform single target rotation.

Totem Twisting

  1. An intimidating name for a simple process. All this process involves is casting
    Grace of Air Totem
    immediately after casting
    Windfury Totem
    . Since
    Windfury Totem
applies its buff right after you cast it, you are able to cheat the system in a sense and get benefits from 2 air totems at the same time.
  2. Refreshing
    Windfury Totem
when the buff runs out is a must for this to be effective. Which means every 10 seconds, you will be casting
    Windfury Totem
    , followed by
    Grace of Air Totem
    . Must be specced into
    Totemic Focus
since this is very mana intensive.

Weapon Syncing

  1. The benefit of syncing your weapons is to make the most out of
    Flurry
and ensure that your Main Hand weapon is always the one benefitting from
    Windfury Weapon
    procs.
  2. To achieve this consistently, right-click your target from out of range before the fight starts. When your weapon swing timer is half way done, use the following macro:
  3. /tar Player
    /targetlasttarget
    /startattack

TBC Classic Enhancement Shaman Aldor or Scryer

We recommend going Aldor as an Enhancement Shaman in TBC Classic. The Aldor shoulder enchant,
    Greater Inscription of Vengeance
, is slightly better than the Scryer
    Greater Inscription of the Blade
. Aldor also provides a quest that rewards
    Overseer's Signet
, your bis ring for Pre-Raid gearing.
