TBC Classic Affliction Warlock Guide

Introduction

Affliction Warlocks bring solid damage alongside great utility in the form of
    Shadow Embrace
    ,
    Malediction
    , and
    Improved Imp
. While their damage falls significantly behind Destruction Warlocks, raids will still want to bring one. Re-applying your DoTs as soon as they expire will be crucial to maximizing your DPS.

TBC Classic Affliction Warlock Talents

Early Game Build

You can move points from
Fel Concentration
to
Suppression
to help with your hit cap for Affliction spells. The reason the final build does not have points in
Suppression
is because most of your damage comes from
Shadow Bolt
, which does not get affected by
Suppression
so you need to reach 16% hit regardless.

Late Game Build

In this build, you give up

TBC Classic Affliction Warlock Aldor or Scryer

We recommend going Scryers as an Affliction Warlock in TBC Classic. The Aldor shoulder enchant,
    Greater Inscription of Discipline
, is slightly better than the Scryer
    Greater Inscription of the Orb
. However, Scryer's has the advantage of providing one of the best trinkets in Phase 1, the
    Scryer's Bloodgem
    and a powerful ring, the
    Seer's Signet
    .
