Wrath Classic (WOTLK) Enhancement (Spellhance) Shaman Guide

Introduction

Enhancement Shamans bring an attack power buff with
    Unleashed Rage
and a melee haste buff with
    Improved Windfury Totem
to raids. All Shamans have access to
    Wrath of Air Totem
for spell haste, and of course
    Bloodlust
    or
    Heroism
    .

Wrath Classic (WOTLK) Enhancement (Spellhance) Shaman Rotation

Enhancement Shamans have a rotation with a lot of spells, and little downtime. There will always be something to for you to do every GCD, and using your
    Maelstrom Weapon
procs as soon as possible will be imperative to perform optimal DPS. Enhancement Shamans are also a unique specialization for gearing purposes since they benefit from both melee stats, and caster stats. We'll dive into what exactly this means in more detail in one of the sections below.

Spellhance

  1. Spellhance is a term you will hear when talking about Enhancement Shamans but all it really means is difference in gearing, gemming, and glyphing from T7 - T9 compared to T10. Talents are the same, and the only difference in the rotation is that
    Lava Lash
is the lowest priority spell until T10, when it becomes higher priority than
    Fire Nova
. The other notable differences are:
  2. You can gear for spell power in your neck, back, finger, trinket, and main-hand slots before T10.
  3. Use
Glyph of Flametongue WeaponGlyph of Flametongue Weapon
    instead of
Glyph of Windfury WeaponGlyph of Windfury Weapon
    before T10.
  4. Use
Glyph of Fire NovaGlyph of Fire Nova
    instead of
Glyph of Feral SpiritGlyph of Feral Spirit
    before T10.
  5. Use
    Flametongue Weapon
on both weapons before T10. Switch to
    Windfury Weapon
    on main-hand and
    Flametongue Weapon
    on off-hand afterwards.
