Wrath Classic (WOTLK) Assassination Rogue Rotation

Assassination Rogues gain a nice quality of life talent with
Cut to the Chase
which allows them to not refresh
Slice and Dice
manually. All Rogues also gain
Fan of Knives
which gives them AoE capabilities on par with other specializations.

Opener

1. Use
   Tricks of the Trade
   pre-pull. Affliction Warlocks will likely benefit the most from your first
   Tricks of the Trade
   because of snapshotting.
2. Pre-pot
   Potion of Speed
   .
3. Go into
   Stealth
   to benefit from
   Overkill
   .
4. Use
   Mutilate
   . If no one else is applying bleeds, use
   Garrote
   instead.
5. Use
   Slice and Dice
   .
6. Use
   Hunger For Blood
   .
7. Use
   Mutilate
   until 4 or 5 Combo Points.
8. Use
   Envenom
   with
   Cold Blood
   .
9. Follow normal priorities.

Single Target

1. Maintain
   Slice and Dice
   .
   Envenom
   will take care of this with
   Cut to the Chase
   .
2. Maintain
   Hunger For Blood
   .
3. Use
   Vanish
   to proc
   Overkill
   . Let it expire before re-applying it.
4. Use
   Tricks of the Trade
   .
5. Use
   Mutilate
   to generate Combo Points.
6. Use
   Cold Blood
   with
   Envenom
   at 5 Combo Points.
7. Use
   Envenom
   at 4 or 5 Combo Points. Let it expire before you re-apply it unless you will reach max Energy while waiting.

AoE

1. Maintain
   Slice and Dice

   Adrenaline Rush

   Blade Flurry

Bleed Rotation

1. If there isn't someone in your raid applying a bleed effect, you'll need to do it yourself in order to use
   Hunger For Blood
   . The rotation is basically the same, with a few small differences. In your opener you need to use
   Garrote
   instead of
   Mutilate
   and every 60 seconds you need to make sure you have a
   Rupture
   on the target so you can use
   Hunger For Blood
   . You will still use
   Envenom
   as your main finisher, you are only using
   Rupture
   once every minute.
