Cataclysm Classic Combat Rogue Rotation

Combat Rogues have a simple rotation, and can even remove
Rupture
from the rotation entirely and still do slightly less DPS for an even simpler rotation. Proper Combo Points and Energy management is still the name of the game. Using
Adrenaline Rush
and
Killing Spree
optimially will be important for maximizing DPS. Both of these cooldowns will be up more often thanks to
Restless Blades
.

Single Target

1. Use
   Instant Poison
   on Main-hand,
   Deadly Poison
   on Off-hand, and
   Wound Poison
   on Thrown weapon.
2. Maintain
   Slice and Dice
   .
3. If using
   Rupture
   Maintain at 5 Combo Points.
4. Use
   Killing Spree
   at low Energy and 30%
   Bandit's Guile
   unless delaying it would result in less casts throughout the fight.
5. Use
   Adrenaline Rush
   as long as you wont cap on Energy.
6. Use
   Tricks of the Trade
   .
7. Use
   Revealing Strike
   if you are at 4 Combo Points and you will cast an
   Eviscerate
   or
   Rupture
   right after.
8. Use
   Eviscerate
   at 5 Combo Points. If using
   Rupture
   , make sure you have the time to generate 5 Combo Points for
   Rupture
   and at least a 1 Combo Point for
   Slice and Dice
   before they expire.
9. Use
   Eviscerate
   if the target will die before a 5 Combo Point
   Rupture
   runs for its full duration.
10. Use
    Sinister Strike
    to generate Combo Points.
